Each numeric value exchanged between your control device and Realer belongs to a quantity context (QC). QCs define the kind of measurement your value represents, such as mass, temperature, pressure, humidity, or other domain-specific metrics.

Realer provides a catalogue of QCs to ensure consistent interpretation, validation, and conversion of data across dashboards, rules, and APIs. When developing your device, use the QC that best matches the type of value your device processes.
