How do I authorize technical support?

As a control device admin, authorize a developer's temporary technical access for selected actuator or sensor setup. A request or developer acknowledgement alone does not activate access.

  1. Open the device's support chat, then select Support access. Check the current technical-support state before starting another request.
  2. When available, select Start support request and Technical support. Choose the device's developer, only the supported setup actions and items needed, a duration and a reason.
  3. The selected developer reviews the request and acknowledges or declines it. A declined request creates no access.
  4. After acknowledgement, the device admin reviews the scope and explicitly activates the request if it is still needed. Check that technical access is active before relying on it.

Access expires at the displayed time. The device admin or the developer can revoke it earlier from the active technical access page.

The developer can propose only changes allowed by their current role or explicit technical access. Supported setup changes require device-admin approval, or the designated Realer staff review where required, before they apply.

Technical access does not grant resource measurements or command execution. Resource operation uses separate permissions.

If you cannot administer the device or access its chat, ask its admin to manage the request. If a request is already in progress, open it for the next available step. If the chat is closed or the setup action is unavailable, ask the device admin or authorized chat participants which support path is available.
