Dashboard relationships

Relationships between dashboards and resources control what you see in your home page. A dashboard-resource relationship makes a resource appear when that dashboard is current.

To create a relationship between a dashboard and a resource:

  1. Make sure you have a usage relationship with both the dashboard and the resource that you want to connect.
  2. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
  3. From the dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name and select Edit usage relationship.
  4. From within the edit usage relationship box, search for the resource that you want to relate to the dashboard and click relate.
  5. Choose the privacy setting for the relationship between the dashboard and the resource.
  6. Click Create relationship.

Connect only resources that are useful on that dashboard. There are limitations on the number of dashboard relationships you can create.

To edit a relationship between a dashboard and a resource:

  1. Make sure the relationship between the dashboard and the resource exists.
  2. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
  3. From the dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name and select Edit usage relationship.
  4. From within the edit usage relationship box, search for the resource whose relationship you want to edit and click edit relationship.
  5. Edit the relationship between the dashboard and the resource.
  6. When you are finished, click Update relationship.

If you use the dashboard, you can sort resources for that dashboard.

To sort resources for a dashboard:

  1. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
  2. From the dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name and select Edit usage relationship.
  3. From within the edit usage relationship box, click sort on the right of Relationshipable resources.
  4. Sort resources using .
  5. When you are finished, click Done.

To delete a relationship between a dashboard and a resource:

  1. Make sure the relationship between the dashboard and the resource exists.
  2. Go to the dashboard page on Realer.
  3. From the dashboard page, click on under the dashboard name and select Edit usage relationship.
  4. From within the edit usage relationship box, search for the resource whose relationship you want to delete, click on and select Delete relationship.
  5. Confirm the deletion of the relationship between the dashboard and the resource by clicking on Destroy relationship.
